Meridiana Amenity Center

Designed adjacent to an Elementary School, this project’s goal was to integrate educational features into the site and structures. This new 20,000 Sq. Ft. amenity center complex in Houston, TX includes a welcome center, fitness areas, restaurant, conditioned restrooms, lap pool and recreation pools. The site plan is connected to sun patterns on the horizon at solstices and equinoxes as well as solar noon. A large tower with large aperture located at a 60-foot height provides a sunspot on a large meridian line near the amphitheater. The radial pattern of the plan connects the entries while spreading out to open areas between buildings.
